WFL Ladder FAQs
The WFL Ladder is a 12-week 6v6 football competition for teams who want consistent, competitive football. The season is capped at 6 teams, keeping the competition tight and every match meaningful. Over the season, each team plays every other team twice — around 10 matches per team.
Points are awarded as follows: Win = 3 points, Draw = 1 point, Loss = 0 points. The table updates live after every match.
At the end of the season, the top 2 teams face off in the final to decide the winner.
This is designed for intermediate to advanced players who want regular, well-organised football in a team setting. If you have a group of friends who are serious about playing consistently, the WFL Ladder is built for you. There's no upper limit on squad size — the bigger your group, the better the buffer.
There are no pre-set match days. Instead, WFL releases fixtures in blocks — each fixture block is a 10-day window. Once a block is announced, all scheduled matches must be played and completed within the stipulated duration. Both playing teams coordinate directly to agree on a date, time, and venue slot that works for them within this window.
Matches are played at Claygrounds venues across South Delhi — you'll have 3–4 locations to choose from. Your team books the slot at your preferred venue, and there is no additional cost — venue access is already included in your registration fee.
Once the booking is finalised, both team captains must inform the WFL POC at least 48 hours before the scheduled match slot, along with the match details.
This approach is intentional. We know life gets busy, and this system gives your team real flexibility to schedule matches around your lives rather than being locked into a fixed day or location every week.
You'll play roughly 10 matches over 12 weeks — about one match every 10 days on average. But because of the block-scheduling system, the exact rhythm is flexible. Some weeks you may not have a match; other weeks you might schedule one closer together if both teams agree. The pace is designed to keep you competitive without being overwhelming.
No. Matches are played at Claygrounds venues across South Delhi — you'll have 3–4 locations to choose from. Once your fixture is announced, your team picks the venue that works best and books the slot. Venue access is fully covered within your registration fee, so there's no additional cost for field booking.
No. There is no upper limit on squad size. You can register as many players as your team wants. This is by design — we know not everyone will make every game, so the more players you have, the more flexibility you have. Minimum to register is 6 players. Base registration covers 9 players; any players beyond 9 are charged at ₹1,250 per additional player.
Yes — but you must inform us at least 7 days in advance. This is so we can approve the addition and sort jersey arrangements in time. Any new player added after the season has started will be charged at the per-player rate.
Team captains act as the primary point of contact for WFL for their respective teams. For each fixture, both captains are responsible for coordinating with each other to finalise the match schedule within the assigned window, including deciding the venue, booking the slot, and confirming match timing.
Once the booking is confirmed, both captains must inform the WFL POC at least 48 hours before the scheduled match. Captains are also responsible for ensuring their teams arrive on time and are ready to play on matchday.
You register as a team. You need a minimum of 6 players to sign up. We recommend having 9 players to give you a comfortable buffer for absences, injuries and scheduling clashes. Though this is not a requirement.
Registration is ₹45,000 per team for the full 12-week season. Here's how that breaks down:
~₹5,000 per player (for a squad of 9)
~₹1,600/month per player ·
~₹500 per match
Additional players can be added at ₹1,250 per player — which also reduces the overall cost per person as your squad grows.
- Ground & venue access
- Jerseys for every registered player in your squad
- Match highlights and video coverage of every game
- Detailed team and player stats
- Content - photos & videos of you in action (if you want them!)
- 15 weeks of organised football — fixtures, scheduling, and a live leaderboard
- Final access — if you finish in the top 2, you're in the season finale
Please contact us as early as possible if your team can't make a fixture. We'll do our best to reschedule where feasible, but this is subject to availability and the agreement of the opposing team. Repeated no-shows without notice may affect your team's standing.
We take steps to avoid this happening — but if a team does withdraw mid-season, we'll communicate the impact on fixtures and standings to all teams as quickly as possible. The integrity of the competition is a priority and we'll handle it fairly.
All payments are non-refundable. Once registration is confirmed and payment is made, we begin allocating your venue slots, producing jerseys, and building the fixture schedule — costs that are committed on your behalf from the moment you register.
Please make sure your team is committed before signing up. If you have any questions before registering, get in touch and we'll be happy to help.
